How to Enter

Registration Process

Registration opens January 16, 2019 at 12:01 am (EST) and closes on February 20, 2019 at 8:00 pm (EST). To register, you must go to the "Register Now" page and fill out the online registration form. By registering, you are confirming that you have read and agree to the 2019 U.S. Young Lions Competitions Official Rules. Teams will receive a confirmation code upon completion. The below information is required on the registration form:

YOUNG LION COMPETITION CATEGORY

PARTNER 1 INFORMATION:
Name, Company, Title, Email, Phone, Date of Birth
PARTNER 2 INFORMATION:
Name, Company, Title, Email, Phone, Date of Birth

Your registration code will indicate which category you registered for, followed by a XX digit numerical code. For example, registration codes for the Digital competition will show as Digital XX. Please keep a record of your confirmation code as you be asked to enter it when you submit your entries.

Category Team Criteria

Please note: Team partners do not have to be employed at the same company.

  • DIGITAL: Open to a team of two digital professionals.
  • FILM: Open to a team of two creative professionals.
  • MEDIA: Open to a team of two media professionals working within a Media company or within the in-house media department of an agency (i.e planner/buyer/strategist) or within an in-house media department at a company.
  • PRINT: Open to a team of one art director and one copywriter.
  • PR: Open to a team of two PR professionals working within a PR agency or within the in-house PR department of an agency or or within an in-house PR department at a company.

Eligibility

Participants must be 30 years or younger (born after June 22, 1988).

The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners of all five categories will be asked to provide proof of age for both team members. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

Participants must be legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia with valid U.S. passports or hold valid Visas authorizing travel to France.

Participants must be in good standing as a current employee of an advertising company or agency, a PR company or agency, or media industry company in the U.S. at time of registration.

Judging

The judging panels will consist of the U.S. creative directors, media and PR executives and senior marketers who will select the winners for all competitions. Judging will take place from mid-March through April with the final winners announced on or about May 1st.

Assignment

The creative brief will be sent via e-mail to all registered teams on Wednesday, February 28th. The brief will provide all information needed to complete the project; details for each specific category will be outlined.
