As the official U.S. Representative to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, NCM, will facilitate the selection process by inviting nominations for each jury spot allocated to the U.S. for 2018. The Cannes Lions Team will make the ultimate selection of jurors, ensuring that each jury contains an even balance of geography, gender, skill and network.

The process for nominating U.S. judges will require completion of the below PDF nomination form and the inclusion of a comprehensive bio to be sent to Susan Lilley, Director of Cannes Partnerships at NCM (National CineMedia) no later than December 15, 2017. Email address:


  • Innovative, creative, highly recognized within the industry; must be a specialist in the category/categories of interest (See attached Jury Definition/Criteria Document)
  • Previous award winner required, including Cannes Lions
  • Previous judge at Cannes Lions or other prestigious award competitions

Note: Coordination through your global agency network should be organized as limited invitations will be sent worldwide and you could be competing with colleagues from other offices for these jury positions.


A new awards architecture has been implemented; this will allow related Lion categories and juries to be grouped together in “Tracks”. This new structure sets clear creative lanes for entries to be made and judged.

The following chart outlines the nine “Tracks” and the juries which will fall into each one.
